For several decades ELT professionals have been exposed to the principles of the Communicative Approach and how important communicative teaching in the classroom is. Furthermore most of the ELT professionals agree that this is a key element in teaching. However, even teachers who believe that the main objective of teaching is for the students to be able to communicate may struggle to accomplish it.
